Food Prices and Hunger are on the rise around the world.

“Dem belly full but we hungry / A hungry mob is an angry mob!” – Bob Marley

Sing it Bob. This heartbreaking article by Marc Lacey of the New York Times reveals the plight of those around the world, particularly in Haiti, starving for food that has become all to expensive.  Here in the US, the economic downturns we experience(rising gas prices, housing market drops, devaluing of the dollar) are but small ripples, compared to the state of affairs in the third world. It pains me to see images such as these, and know that there is a supermarket around the corner stacked with enough food to feed a good part of Haiti for some time.
